  • You can add outline to any object (and text is also an object in Photo-Paint) Ctrl+M and P, right click Brushstrokes on mask, chose outside, middle or inside of omask/object.The only real flaw I see in the interface is in the status bar at the bottom of the screen.
  • You can also have them floating around like in Photoshop, if that is what you like. You can very easaly just drag apart and attach all the toolbars and dockers in Photo-Paint.
  • Of course you can make the interface changeable as you put it.
  • Some brushes from Photoshop can be imported, Gimp - why bother (sorry, I really dont like Gimp).
  • Glow effect - of course you can add glow effects.
  • And the only whay to learn them is to use them, and explore the dockers.
  • The Brush settings docker in Photo-Paint, and the Artistic Media Docker, are docker that hides a huge potential for those who dig into them.
  • Chalk, Camel Dry hair, Quick Doodler and so on. In a digital illustration you probaly dont use more than maybe 5 or 6 different brushes. And also, take a look on the DVD or CD in the Box version of CorelDRAW Graphics Suite. Take a serious look at the Brush settings docker in Photo-Paint, and the Artistic Media Docker. How many does one really need? When using a brush, any brush, you can use, and do use merge mode, opacity and other features. I dont agree at all that Photo-Paint have to few brushes.

I agree though that it would be nice with more. But this doesnt mean there is no tutorials. I agree that there isnt so many FREE Photo-Paint tutorials, in comparison to Photoshop. But that its free is probably also why its so bad. The only good thing with it is that its free.
